The Pledge According to Brooklyn

Brooklyn has been really excited about the fact that they say the pledge every day at school.  She might have the words a little goofed up, but she's sure cute :)  If I do say so myself, right?

She is a tad bit obsessed with making videos for Whitney apparently :)

Brooklyn had a great day for yellow day (she even had yellow finger nails).

We received a note home explaining their green, yellow, and red concept at school that her teacher will utilize.  The class has a tree with apples and each student/apple starts the day on the top level of the tree.  Currently their focus is on being kind to others and if a student violates that rule they will move to the yellow level when warned and miss 3 minutes of recess. . .and if they violate again they will move to the red level which means missing all of recess and getting a note home to mom and dad.   Mrs. K says that the next rule they add will be raising their hand before speaking . . . sounds like it's been a loud week :)

Brooklyn and I spoke tonight and I asked if she'd ever moved below the top level of the tree.  She gasped and said "No, I've never been red or yellow mama".  I said "Okay, well if you ever fall to yellow you need to tell mommy and daddy so we can talk about it".  She said "Mom, that will never happen".  Time will tell. . my girl likes to talk!
