Our Weekend So Far

So far our weekend has been the perfect mix of planned and low-key.  Friday evening we went to the football game for our district's high school.  Brooklyn has developed a real love for the cheerleaders. . and I was busting out some loud cheering for our boys.  This was an "away" game. . played at another local high school's field.  It was a great game and our team won which always makes it better.

Today Brooklyn woke up WAY too early and Matt had to work, so Brooklyn and I chilled out for awhile.  Did some house cleaning, laundry, and tried to wake up.  Our Hawkeyes had kickoff at 11:00 AM so we busted out some game-day nachos and watched the Hawks kick some serious booty. 

Brooklyn had a birthday party from 2 - 4, so afterwards we enjoyed a yummy ribs dinner and decided to have Family Movie Night.  We started Family Movie Nights in Belgium, but we haven't had one since we returned.  Brooklyn LOVES having Family Movie Night. . . so tonight was a good night for all of us.
