Yesterday we had our 3D ultrasound of little Mister Easton. We'd wanted to wait until later in the pregnancy, but we had to settle for 26 1/2 weeks because the 3D boutique in town is closing next week. So, he's not as chunky monkey as Brooklyn was during her 3D. But, that's okay. . .
Previously we'd had trouble getting good shots of Easton because he was using the placenta as a pillow. This time the problem was because of the umbilical cord - he was attempting to cuddle up into it for a nap. I'll be honest, I felt a little bad as we poked him a bit trying to get him to move.
You can sort of see his hand up near his face in this picture
Chubby cheeked boy - tech says that he doesn't have much hair yet, if any. It would be very rare for a baby in our family to come out with only peach fuzz. . so I'd venture to guess that he's just working on growing some hair in the next couple weeks.
You can see his sweet little fingers in this one
He started covering his face about 2/3 of the way through - hopefully this means that Easton likes to sleep as much as his mama and doesn't want to be disturbed
This isn't a very clear picture of Easton, but it shows him holding onto part of his umbilical cord
Another picture with the cord to the right of him
I'll be honest, these 3D pics are not as clear as the ones that we got in Indianapolis / Carmel when we were pregnant with Brooklyn, but it was still fun to get a look at our sweet little man.
We'll have another 2D ultrasound at our doctor in 6 - 8 weeks (I think) so we'll get to see him again one more time before he's born. He is measuring about 1 week ahead by stomach measurements. . . so the guess is that he'll be a rather big baby. Brooklyn was 8 lbs 6 ozs so it will be fun to see.
