Just Some Sweet Memories

We've had quite the week so far here.  We knew it'd be a difficult week as most post-holiday weeks are.  Getting back into the swing of a 5:45 AM wake up call. . . the long work / school days . . etc.  But, by golly we've done it.

On Monday we had a bit of unexpected drama when one of the gals at our daycare gave us a bit of unexpected misinformation.  We had been told that we might have to wait a short while to get Easton into the center after I went back to work, but when I touched base on the status I was told that it might be as late as September until we could get him into the center.  Uhmmm. . whaa?  I was confused, concerned, and downright teary about the whole darn situation.  Fortunately we found out that evening via email exchanges with the director that we had been given false information and the center would be ready for Easton when I go back to work.  Phew.  Thank goodness!!!

Unfortunately we got the "relief" email after Brooklyn went to bed.  So, shortly before bed Brooklyn was sitting next to me on the couch and wrapped her arms around my tummy and sweetly said "Ohhh. . I LOVE you Easton and I really hope that you get to go to the daycare with me so you are safe!"  It was so sweet. .and fun. . to see how my girl is already loving and looking out for her baby brother.  I'm not naive. . I know jealousy and other complexities await us. . but wow do I love my little girl!!!
