I've been waiting for Matt to complete his photo editing of the pictures from our fun filled weekend, but that hasn't been happening particularly quickly so I decided that I would go ahead and record a few funny things so I don't forget before the pictures are finally edited.
A few funny moments. . .
After we arrived at the reception Brooklyn was speaking with the flower girls (who she had met at Chelsy's bridal shower. A woman came up and asked one of the flower girls if they had seen her daughter. Apparently the mom had misplaced her daughter who happened to be a friend of the flower girls'. Brooklyn smiled at the woman and watched her walk away. A few minutes later the lady walked by Brooklyn and Brooklyn stopped her and said something that I couldn't understand. The woman smiled politely and walked away. I knelt over and asked Brooklyn "Honey, what did you say to that lady?". Brooklyn responded quite simply "I said. . . I can't believe you lost your kid.". I thought I must have misheard her. . . but after asking for her to repeat it she said "I SAID. . . I can't believe you lost your kid". Ahem. . . how do you argue with that? We told her that it was rude to say. .but. . I was still snickering about it hours later.

Yesterday evening it was just Brooklyn and I home for dinner. Brooklyn was working on coloring at the table and I was preparing dinner.
Brooklyn: "Mom, I can sometimes read Mrs. K's mind. . cool huh?"
Me: "That is pretty cool. . what do you mean, sweetie?"
Brooklyn: "Well, the other day Mrs K asked what we thought we should do next and when I answered her she said . . "You read my mind". . isn't that crazy mom, I READ HER MIND!"
Again. .how do you argue with this stuff?

There are more, but naturally the fact that I am sitting down to type them out means that I can think of no others. I'll try to get better at recording them as we hear them.
