Animal Kingdom: Monkeys, Monkeys, Everywhere!

Three posts in one day?  Don't get used to it folks!

On Tuesday we headed towards Animal Kingdom.  Neither Matt nor I had ever been to Animal Kingdom, so we were excited to see what the park was like.  We headed out brignt and early in the morning and arrived at the park about the time it opened.  Brooklyn was super excited as this was her first opportunity to meet the characters.

We headed nearly straight to The Lion King show (remember how much Brooklyn loved it in London?) and made a short pit stop before the show to visit several of her favorite characters.

The Circle of Life Tree
Aww Stitch!
Lilo was so cute and sweet to Brooklyn!

Thumper and Mrs Bunny
Mickey and the Girls
Oh Goofy!
Donald. . who Whitney affectionately called "Donnie" and now Brooklyn will call nothing else

After The Lion King Show (which was great) we headed over to fill our tummies with some food in the African area.  While we were there some drummers joined the scene and Brooklyn eagerly joined them for some dancing.  She thought she was pretty cool stuff!

After Brooklyn's dance extraveganza we headed over to the gorilla area and then to the safari.  The safari was great!  Such close exposure to the animals!  Brooklyn had a blast.

We then headed over to the Nemo show (sorry no pictures) which was great!  I loved it.

Following Nemo we headed out and over to the timeshare property we were lucky enough to have a unit at for two nights.  We cleaned up and cozied into our room before heading over to Bahama Breeze for dinner.  I wish we had one of the restaurants here. . .sooo yummy!  I had some wonderful coconut shrimp that makes me hungry right now just thinking about it.

After dinner we headed back to the hotel to get the kiddos in bed and played some Monopoly Deal.  Love that game so much!  It was a great day with great friends. . and we headed to bed in time to rest up for a fabulous day at Magic Kingdom the next day!  Stay tuned. . .
