The Magic Kingdom!

Before I get into the stuff that you're really here for. . I want to wish my husband a happy 9 year anniversary.  We've been together since January of 1998, but married since May of 2002.  It's been the best 9 + 4.5 years that I could ever have hoped for.  I love you to the moon and back!

So. . onward and upward. . .

Wednesday was the day we'd all anxiously awaited. . . Magic Kingdom!  Brooklyn so so excited.  We all loaded up on the resort bus and headed over to the Magic Kingdom.  Our first stop was to see the princesses.  The wait was quite a bit longer than we'd anticipated, but the girls were happy with the end result . . which I suppose is what matters most.  Brooklyn wanted Whitney in every picture with her and loved having her little buddy by her side.  The princesses are so good with the kids and Brooklyn was on cloud 9.

After the princesses we began making the tour of the park.  We stopped at nearly all the rides that the kids were capable of doing.  Brooklyn was very excited about It's a Small World - exclaiming "I love this one!" which was music to our ears after the terrified crying that The Haunted Mansion had caused.  Teacups. . .Dumbo. . the Carousel. . . Peter Pan. . the girls did it all.  The weather was wonderful, aside from a small dash of rain.

The parade in the afternoon was wonderful.  Brooklyn was her normal, joyful self. . . and her gasping and shrieking characters names resulted in more than one character giving her personal attention.  She shrieked "Cinderella!" and Cinderella turned around on her float and looked straight at Brook to blow her a kiss.  The same happened with The Beast. . but he elected to lunge at her from his float.  So precious.

Late afternoon we made the decision to head back to the hotel to get cleaned up for dinner.  Unfortunately our decision to ride on the resort bus caused a paniced run for all of us back to the bus parking (through the monorail none the less).  We arrived there just in time to be crammed into the bus along with all the other folks that thought that time would be a great time to go home.

After arriving (finally) back at the resort we cleaned up and headed over to Chilis for dinner.  Dinner came complete with a balloon artist and the kids were quite content.  After wrapping up dinner we headed back over to The Magic Kingdom for fireworks.  Due to the wind our seats may have been a bit too close to the castle for the fireworks, but the girls had a great time and loved every moment.  After fireworks we did a bit of shopping before heading back to the resort with our super tired kiddos . . and super tired adults.  We all rolled into bed nearly immediately upon return to gear up for the following day at Hollywood Studios.
